Suggest your puzzle
Is your wooden puzzle not among the four that Emboîto covers (the devil's knot, the snake cube, the wooden cube and the calendar puzzle)? You can suggest it: write with photos and a few details, and it will be studied to see whether it could be added one day. Emboîto doesn't recognize anything from a photo: a person reads your message and looks at your photos. The site receives nothing, everything goes through your own email.
The photos to take
The more detail, the better the puzzle can be studied. Take:
- each piece on its own, on a plain, light background;
- for each piece, its six faces: the top, the bottom and the four sides;
- a ruler or a coin next to the piece, to show the scale;
- all of it in daylight, without flash, to avoid reflections and hard shadows;
- the puzzle assembled, from two different angles;
- all the pieces together, spread out on the same background.
The details to give
In your message, say:
- the number of pieces;
- the dimensions in millimeters, those of the assembled puzzle and, if possible, of one piece;
- the material, for example the kind of wood if you know it;
- the name of the puzzle, if it has one;
- the origin: where you got it, which country or workshop it comes from;
- whether you know its solution or not.
What happens to your photos
The photos are used for the study of the puzzle, and nothing else. They are never published without your written agreement. They are deleted after the study, and at the latest twelve months after they are received. The privacy policy says where your message goes and what the publisher does with it.
What happens next
Every message is read. A reply isn't guaranteed, and adding a puzzle can take time: there is no promised timeline and no guarantee it will be added.
Write the email
The button below opens your email app with a template to fill in, addressed to contact@emboito.com. Remember to attach your photos: an email link can't attach anything, so you have to add them to the message yourself before sending it. If your email app doesn't open, write directly to that address.
