The publisher

The website emboito.com is published by Emboîto. For any question about this page or about your personal information, write to contact@emboito.com.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information

The person who holds the title of person in charge of the protection of personal information is the publisher. Their email is contact@emboito.com.

What the site does not ask for

The site has no account and no form: it asks for no name, no email and no password. Solving runs in your browser, and what you enter is sent to no one.

Your saved puzzles

The puzzles you save stay in the browser on the device you use, in its local storage. They are not sent to the site. They are erased with the “Delete” button of each saved puzzle, or by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.

The share link carries your entry after the # sign. The browser never sends that part of the address: it is never sent to the server. Anyone you give the link to can see your entry.

Audience measurement

The site measures its traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics: page views, the referring sites, countries and display speed. This audience measurement works without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. According to Cloudflare, it collects no personal data.

Advertising

The site shows advertising through Google AdSense, on the home page, on the puzzle pages and on the “Make your own puzzle” page. Google AdSense places cookies in your browser to show ads, which may be personalized. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, read https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To adjust or turn off ad personalization, go to https://myadcenter.google.com/. The other pages show no ads.

Your emails

Messages sent to contact@emboito.com go through Cloudflare's email service, which forwards them to the publisher. The publisher uses them to reply to you and to fix the mistake you report. To fix it, the publisher may copy your message into the site's defect tracker, a private repository hosted by GitHub.

If you suggest a puzzle through the Suggest your puzzle page, the photos attached to your message are used only for the study of that puzzle. The publisher never publishes them without your written agreement and does not copy them into the site's defect tracker, because a suggestion is not a defect. The publisher deletes them after the study, and at the latest twelve months after they are received.
